Fences that stay standing
Most fences fail at the posts. When posts are set too shallow or without proper footings, a strong westerly is enough to push a whole run over. We build timber fences across Larbert, Stenhousemuir and the Falkirk area with the posts set properly, so they stand up to the weather for years.
Fence styles
- Closeboard fencing – strong and private, with featherboards on arris rails between solid posts.
- Slatted and contemporary fencing – horizontal slats for a modern garden.
- Panel fencing – a cost-effective option, fitted between timber or concrete posts.
- Picket and low front-garden fencing – to mark a boundary without blocking the view.
- Trellis toppers – for extra height and privacy with climbing plants.
Repairs and storm damage
If your fence has blown down or started to lean, we can usually replace the damaged posts and sections and reuse sound panels where it makes sense. We will tell you honestly whether a repair or a new fence is the better option.
Heights and neighbours
Height limits depend on where the fence is – particularly next to a road or footpath. We can advise, and you can confirm with Falkirk Council. For shared boundaries, it is worth agreeing the plan with your neighbour before work starts.
Need a way through? Add a matching garden gate or driveway gates. A new fence also makes a good backdrop for timber decking.
