A deck without the upkeep
Composite decking is made from a blend of wood fibres and plastic. It will not rot, split or splinter, and it does not need staining or oiling – a wash down now and then keeps it looking good. We install composite decking for gardens across Larbert, Stenhousemuir and the Falkirk area.
Why choose composite
- Low maintenance – no annual treatment, just an occasional clean.
- Consistent colour – a range of greys, browns and wood-grain finishes that stay even.
- Comfortable underfoot – no splinters, which is ideal with children and pets.
- Long life – most boards come with long manufacturer warranties when fitted correctly.
Fitted to the manufacturer’s rules
Composite boards expand and contract with temperature, and every brand has its own requirements for joist spacing, gaps and fixings. We follow those specifications exactly – usually with hidden clip fixings for a clean, screw-free surface – so the deck performs properly and the warranty stays valid. The frame beneath is built just as carefully as for a timber deck, with good drainage and ventilation.
Is it worth the extra cost?
Composite costs more to install than timber, but with no treatment to buy or apply each year, many customers find it pays back over the life of the deck. We are happy to price both so you can compare.
Finish the space with glass balustrades, new fencing or a garden gate.
