Clear views, safe edges
Glass balustrades let light flow through a stairwell and keep the view from a deck or balcony, while still providing a safe barrier. They suit modern homes and contrast beautifully with traditional ones. We supply and fit glass balustrades for homes across Larbert, Stenhousemuir and the Falkirk area.
Where we fit them
- Staircases – replacing spindles and banisters with glass for a brighter, more open hallway.
- Landings and galleries – to open up a first-floor space.
- Decks and terraces – to keep the view of the garden, often combined with timber or composite decking.
- Balconies and Juliet balconies.
Frameless or posted?
Frameless systems hold the glass in a base channel or with discreet fixings for the cleanest look. Posted systems use slim stainless steel or timber posts with clamps, which can suit stairs and longer runs. Handrails can be timber, stainless steel or omitted where the system allows.
Safety comes first
A balustrade has to hold the loads expected for its location. We specify toughened laminated safety glass and a fixing system rated for where it is going, and we check the structure it fixes into before ordering. Everything is measured on site, as glass is made to exact sizes.
Joinery and glass together
Because we are joiners, we can handle the whole job: new treads, handrails, newel posts and finishing timbers alongside the glass, so everything fits together neatly.
